🔦✨Spotlight on the Spot Fund 🐆
Spot Fund The Spot Fund is our school’s shared PTO fund — built from donations and events — that supports the programs and opportunities our students love. One of the biggest areas it supports is Creative Arts and Sciences (CAS), which brings engaging, hands-on enrichment experiences to every grade. We’re looking for a CAS Co-Lead to help guide this important work in collaboration with principals, teachers, and district leadership. This role helps decide which artists, scientists, and programs come to Lincoln-Eliot — a direct way to shape how our students learn and explore. If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to president@lepto.org. It’s a great way to get involved and make a lasting impact. Thanks to the generosity of our Lincoln-Eliot community, we’ve been able to support CAS programs and host two CAS events, featured below. Your support continues to make a meaningful impact for our students.

Storyteller: Len CabralCelebrated storyteller Len Cabral came to visit the 4th grade for their first CAS experience of the year in December. Len captivated the kids with his mesmerizing stories and folktales, such as “The Bear and the Chipmunk.” His visit was a great tie-in to the 4th grade ELA curriculum. This program was made possible by LE PTO.

Get Ready For Onsite VolunteeringThis year brings more opportunities for families to be on-site at our beautiful new school including helping at the upcoming Book Fair, supporting CAS enrichment programs, and joining field trips as chaperones. Before volunteering, all volunteers must complete a CORI and SORI form:CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and SORI (Sexual Offender Record Information) checks are required for anyone volunteering in the school.Forms must be presented in person at the main office along with a government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport). The CORI/SORI approval is valid for three (3) school years, and processing typically takes about one week. Please note that last-minute requests may not be processed in time, which could prevent participation in an event. If you’re interested in volunteering, stop by the main office — Ms. Rossi can assist you with the forms and submission. We can’t wait to welcome more volunteers into the building! |

📚✨Lincoln-Eliot Book FairOur recent Book Fair in December was a success and a great way to celebrate our new library. Thanks to the support of our families and volunteers, the PTO was able to contribute $300 to help students purchase books through our Social Worker. The Fair also raised $2,000 for the PTO and $500 for the school library, helping to support future programming and grow our library collection. All volunteer shifts were fully covered during both the school day and the evening event, making the Fair run seamlessly from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, shopped, and supported the Book Fair — your involvement helped make it successful and fun for our students.
