Designate NSF for Boston Globe GRANT Program
If you’re a Boston Globe subscriber, please help NSF win free advertising space through the GRANT (Globe Readers and Non-profits Together) program. To help NSF get free advertising, simply fill out the voucher you receive in the mail and return it in the postage-paid envelope or designate Newton Schools Foundation on line. Organizations with the highest donations will receive free ad space. Last year, NSF ranked

#30 out of 3,382 organizations and received $7,350 of free ad space in the Globe.

Your Donations in Action: Calculus Project
The Calculus Project is an exciting initiative designed to increase the number of low-income, African American and Hispanic American students who enroll in and successfully complete Calculus in high school. An ambitious effort to narrow the achievement gap in mathematics, the Calculus Project is comprised of summer enrichment courses and on-going academic support during the school year. NSF funds helped in last summer’s program launch and we have already pledged $11,700 for this summer’s program. Click here to read more. Donate to NSF’s Investing in Innovation campaign.

NSF Helps 6 Newton Schools Win Whole Foods Garden Grants
Six Newton elementary schools chose to participate in a special “green” program and each will receive a $2000 grant to build or expand their gardens and promote education on sustainability through Whole Kids Foundation’s School Garden Grant Program. NSF spearheaded the grant application process and secured the funds. Click here for details.

Newton Inspires 2015
On January 21 at Newton South High School, 20 Newtonians representing a variety of fields and interest areas shared their insights, ideas and impressions with 300 of their fellow community members at NSF’s fourth annual Newton Inspires: An Evening of Ideas and Community. Read more about the evening, hear what attendees had to say, and check out the Newton Inspires photos.
