This past Friday, April 26th, our first graders were visited by Sheryl Faye as astronaut Sally Ride, a presentation from her Historical Women Performances program.  The students learned about Sally’s passion for science (ask your child about the cool experiments she did with them!), her experience as the first American woman in space, and how she overcame all the odds to reach for the stars.
