Calling all Scientists!

We are in the beginning stages of planning an in-person Science Fair at Lincoln-Eliot for April!!! We are looking for any parents who have a science background, science expertise, connections to science, or just a general passion for science and helping to create an unforgettable night for our community. The night will include students showcasing their projects, as well as some science demonstrations.

If you are interested in helping, please email secretary@lepto.org.

Wondermore Author Visits

This past week, Kindergarten through Grade 2 students had the privilege of attending virtual visits with award winning authors, Mitali Perkins (K and 1st) and Lulu Delacre (2nd). These author visits were sponsored by The Lincoln-Eliot PTO and Title I, in collaboration with Wondermore, a local non-profit organization.

Mitali Perkins has written many books for young readers. In Home is in Between, she describes the experience of navigating multiple cultures and embracing the complex but beautiful home in between. Each Kindergarten and Grade 1 student will receive their own copy of Mitali Perkins’ book Home is in Between.

Lulu Delacre has written and illustrated many of her own books and has illustrated books by other authors including The Storyteller’s Candle by Lucia Gonzalez and the acclaimed Turning Pages by Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Each grade 2 student will receive their own copy of Lulu Delacre’s book Luci Soars

Grades 4 and 5 will have their author visit on March 21st with author Maris Wicks.

LE Leopard Shirts

New short-sleeved t-shirts will be available for purchase at our pop-up table during Pizza Wednesdays! Sizes range from XS-XL. There is a limited quantity and we will not be taking any pre-orders right now. T-shirts will be available for $10 each or 2 for $15. Cash or Venmo is accepted.

As the weather gets nicer, we will look into popping up more during drop-off and pick up.

Principal / PTO Update 3.06

Hi LE Families,

I want to thank you again for your patience and understanding with the emergency closure on Monday due to the sewage issue.

There was only one reported COVID case at our school this week. Tests will be sent home (for families who have opted in) on Tuesday in your child’s backpack.

I will be sending out more information tomorrow regarding new mask guidelines, once the document is finalized by the central office.

Thank you,

Principal Morrissey
