Dear families,
Don’t forget that this Friday, June 18 there will be no school in celebration of Juneteenth. Thank you to Fhynita Brinson, parent Chris Worrell, and our FORJ liaison, Lanni Harris, for their amazing efforts to find guest readers to share Juneteenth books in every classroom this week!
We are also very excited for the Juneteenth celebration on the Lincoln-Eliot playground on Friday, June 18th, from 4-6pm — everyone is invited to come see friends, play games, and celebrate with us!
There is one more playdate this week connecting our DLA and in-person students, for our 3rd graders, on Tuesday, June 15 from 5-6pm.
And we are having our Lincoln-Eliot Virtual Celebration Day/Week starting tomorrow, Monday, 6/14 and running until the following Monday, 6/21. This is a voluntary initiative, but we look forward to seeing pictures of LE students and staff participating in the activities throughout the week. You can upload your pictures here — please note that all pictures will be able to be seen by the LE community and anyone with the link, and please make sure the pictures are school-appropriate photos of students, families, and friends doing Celebration Day activities! Pictures will be available for upload and viewing until 6/23.

We also wanted to share some important Summer Reminders from the School Nurse — please click on that link for information about COVID safety, medication pickup, and ways to protect against mosquitoes and ticks this summer.
Our last day of school is Tuesday, June 22, with an early dismissal at 12pm. It’s hard to believe we only have a little more than a week left. We hope all our scholars are enjoying their last few days of the school year!
