NOTES FROM MRS. U…

  • Please visit the Lincoln-Eliot Website. With the help of Jen Roy, our new IT faculty member, we are working to keep the calendar updated and current events posted for your reference. Also, check out the new “Flyer” link that contains copies of all the current flyers that are sent home.
  • Artsonia: Please check out the latest online gallery of grade 5 charcoal drawings. A new feature called “classroom mode” on Artsonia allows students to photograph their own work with i-pads and enter an artist’s statement. Read some of their statements, they are so thoughtful and demonstrate some serious learning.
  • Please, please, please LABEL all coats, lunch boxes and backpacks with your child’s name. Our collection is growing daily.
  • Parent conferences are scheduled for the end of October into early December. It is important that every family have time to meet with the classroom teacher. If you have no already set up a conference, please contact your child’s teacher.
  • You may have noticed the new ceiling in the Jackson Road lobby. This is the latest building update to Lincoln-Eliot. More to come!JTUESDAY PIZZA AT L-E…

• Suzuki Preschool Open House: The Suzuki Preschool of Newton will be hosting an open house on Wednesday October 22nd from 4:00-6:00pm located at 1860 Washington Street Auburndale, MA 02466. • Harvest Fair

Saturday, October 18 – 10am – 5pm, Sunday, October 19 – 10:30am – 4:30pm

Celebrate Fall in Newton with the 37th annual Harvest Fair Festival. On Saturday, there are kiddie amusement rides, sand art and face painting. On Sunday there is something everyone in the family can enjoy! There are still the kiddie amusement rides, but there is also free pumpkin decorating (courtesy of Whole Foods Market), over 100 enticing craft booths to browse, several food vendors to suit every taste bud, and live entertainment all day. The performers are an assortment of local musicians, local dance studios, a local music school, an a cappella Gospel Choir and a local youth theatre group. Don’t miss the added bonus of the “Green Solutions Expo” – an expo with over 60 exhibitors and displays aimed to help reduce our carbon footprint. You can cheer on the walkers as they set off in the annual “Big Feat” Memorial Walk of the Circle of Caring at Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Admission to the Fair is free.
