On Tuesday, October 16th, the Creative Arts and Sciences Committee brought the Discovery Museum to Lincoln-Eliot’s 4th graders for a presentation on “Earth Sciences.“
This program describes the three basic rock types, their origins, characteristics, and the definition of a mineral. Students choose a rock and try to identify it by its characteristics. They grow crystals, view phosphorescent rocks, and make sedimentation chambers to experiment with at home.
This is one of several curriculum-based enrichment programs that our PTO funds. Thank you for your continued support of the Creative Arts & Sciences Committee!
