See you there!

Make Sure You’re In The L-E Directory!

The Lincoln-Eliot Family Directory is hosted online at Membership Toolkit.  It is an opt-in system, so please make sure you sign up — but you only have to do it once, and then you’ll be in the directory through high school!  It only takes five minutes and it’s a great way to find classmates and friends and connect with other families.

PLEASE NOTE that regulations and privacy laws do not allow information from Aspen and/or Newton Public Schools to flow into this directory and vice versa.  We know it’s annoying to have to update information in more than one place, but the success of our directory is dependent on every family logging in and adding or updating their information.

Please log in and confirm that your information is correct and up-to-date.

Instructions: Accessing and Adding/Verifying Information

Login as a RETURNING USER by clicking here:  https://lepto.membershiptoolkit.com/  and using the same login as last year

OR Login as a NEW USER by clicking here:  https://lepto.membershiptoolkit.com/create_account

  1. Fill out the form and click “Verify my email”, then check your email for a link to complete the process. The link expires in 2 hours. If you do not receive the email, check your spam or junk folders.
  2. Once you have verified your email address, log back in and finish the registration process.
Note: Once the Primary Account is set up, the Primary User can “invite” other email addresses to access his/her account. This allows the Secondary User to have their own login information, but still have access to the family account.

Completing/Confirming Information

STEP 1: Complete the Parent/Family and then Student Information.  Families can enter their name, address, phone numbers, and teacher.  For returning users, most of this information should already be available.  Please just confirm it is correct — and please make sure to add any incoming siblings!

STEP 2: Complete the Directory/Publish Preferences.  Each family can decide which pieces of information will be available for others to view through the privacy settings.

If you have any questions or want to find out if you’re already in the directory, please email us with your name and your child’s name(s) at secretary@lepto.org.

Principal / PTO Update 6.19

Hi LE families,

We are down to the last days of school. It was so great seeing so many people out for our 2nd annual Juneteenth event.  Special thank you to Lanni Isenberg, Co-chair LE Juneteenth Celebration and LE’s FORJ liaison, for planning another great event for our kids and families, and for bringing our school community together!

Last Friday the 5th grade class headed to Hale Reservation for a day of team building activities. Much fun was had, and many memories created! Final 5th grade activities include Graduation this Thursday at 10am and a Talent Show on Friday, 9am. Thank you so much for supporting this year’s 5th grade fundraisers which helped made the trip and all end-of-year activities possible for our rising 6th graders!

Reminder: No school on Monday, June 20th in observation of Juneteenth.

Lastly, below are some pictures from our 2nd annual Juneteenth celebration event!

METCO Scholarship Fundraiser

Screen Shot 2022-06-09 at 9.27.06 AM.pngLast week, 31 Newton METCO Seniors graduated from Newton South and Newton North High Schools. These young people stand on the horizon of new opportunities and we want each and every one of them to know they have the tangible support of the members of the Boston-Newton communities.

For over 35 years, the Newton METCO Community Scholarship Fund (NMCSF) seeks to open doors of opportunity by providing financial assistance to deserving METCO seniors seeking to further their education. The work is urgent. The time is now.

Please join us in donating to the scholarship fund today, and transform the conditions of learning and living for our Newton METCO graduates.

Please donate by mail; we are not accepting online donations at this time.

First Lego League Info Night

Is your child interested in LEGOs or robots? The LigerBots, Newton’s award-winning high school FIRST Robotics team, is presenting an information night for parents and children about FIRST LEGO League, a robotics and STEAM program for kids K-8. FLL gives kids the chance to form teams and build robots using LEGO kits, with the purpose of completing challenges. At the info night we will go over the competition logistics, what students will do, and how to start a team. Interested families can sign up to attend here.  If you are unable to make it to the info night, additional information will be sent out to all who fill out the form. If you would like a bit more background information beforehand, here is FLL’s official website. There is also information on the LigerBots FLL page. The info night is on June 22, 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Newton South High School
